PRESENTATION

Homac Foundation is a young organization, which was created as a result of the experiences of a group of volunteers who work with various religious orders in Ethiopia. It is an apolitical, secular and non-profit organization, registered in the registry of foundations of the Catalonian Government in October 2004.

Ethiopia is located in the Horn of Africa and is the second most populous country in sub-Saharan Africa. This country has suffered various warlike conflicts in the last 30 years. These different confrontations together with the drought have wreaked havoc on the population, whose life expectancy is around 45 years.

Although our main operating country is Ethiopia, our presence has expanded in a timely manner into India and Madagascar.

MISSION

Give the most disadvantaged an opportunity so that they can fend for themselves by improving their education, their health situation and their living conditions, respecting their culture in all cases. Favor all those necessary conditions so that they are not forced to leave their places of origin.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

Serving families and orphans. Helping in their maintenance, education, housing, clothing and health care. The people included in the programs receive economic help once a month through the different religious orders that supervise them.

Supporting those projects whose purpose is to improve real situations of poverty. The priorities are established by the religious who live there. The projects are personally visited by Homac Fundación and regular contact is maintained with the responsible local counterpart. Collaborate with other entities with objectives similar to ours.
