OPD REFORM (EXTERNAL CONSULTATIONS) SIDIST KILO
The OPD space that the Missionaries of Charity have in Addis Ababa, specifically in the Sidist kilo area, treats between 70-80 daily patients from the street with different ailments.
In some cases, these are patients coming with various pathologies such as fever, cough, diarrhea… The patients are diagnosed and given the corresponding treatment. When the condition is more severe, they are admitted to the center for more specific treatments.
The OPD space has two examination rooms, a treatment room, a laboratory, a drug dispensary and a couple of latrines.
Two nurses, a doctor, a health assistant and a couple of laboratory technicians work there.
