Nowadays they are in charge of 45 children diagnosed with HIV and 120 disabled children.
Until 2010, about 450 HIV children and teenagers lived in the orphanage. Also in 2010, the program “reintegration of young people into society” was launched. All those young people over 18 years of age go to live in shared apartments, continue their training outside the orphanage, but under the tutelage of social educators until they find their first job.
Currently 114 young people benefit from this program. The total cost of the project for the next 3 years is 300,000€. This amount covers the rent of the house, its
maintenance, the purchase of school supplies and the salary of 4 social educators. In this 2020 Homac Fundación has contributed with 35,000€.
