Project Description
SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION IN ASSELA
The St. Gabriel school in Assela, 175 km from the capital, serves 1,556 students.
The classrooms are practically demolished and there are more than 70 students in each one. Students have a lack of a proper library and other spaces that allow them to complete their formation. The aim of this project is to rehabilitate the old existing building and build a new one in order to create a more conducive environment for learning, as well as to increase the number of students who benefit from its teaching.
Budget: € 240,000 between 2007-2008
Date: Homac Fundación participated in the first phase with a total of 88,000€. It contributed to the construction of 10 classrooms, 3 science laboratories, a library and toilets for the students.
